  • In 1988, Dr. Kazuomi Yamamoto received his doctoral degree from the University of Tokyo, Japan; majoring in Aerospace Engineering. In 1988, he joined the National Aerospace Laboratory (presently the Aeronautical Technology Directorate of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)) as a researcher in aerodynamics of aeroengines. After 14 years’ experience as aerodynamics, aeroacoustics and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) research leaders related to civil transport aircraft since 2001, he became the project manager of a flight demonstration project on airframe noise reduction technologies (FQUROH project) in 2015. After successfully completing the project on May 2019, he becomes the leader of the subsequent aircraft noise research program.
